Creating Your Own Images: Topic 5

In your blog posting add remixed images you have created from 2 of the sites.

The jigsaw puzzle is from BIG HUGE LABS

The jersey is from imagechef
Also, tell us how you might use each site for fun or for school: Teachers could make students create a blog and answer questions on there using BIG HUGE LABS, AND imagechef  and kids might enjoy making this kind of stuff.

Topic 4 photos,images,and giving credit

Make up two questions about copyright, public domain and fair use (hint, these should be from the content of the video A Fair(y) Use Tale).
  1.  is it fair to copy a photo from another student and use i as your own.
  2. is it fair to use another website for answers for your school work.

Answer the two questions you made up.
  1. its not fair unless you ask permission for it.
  2. for school work its fair but its still good to site it.

What is a Creative Commons license and why is it important for us?
  1. its one of the several public copyright licenses that enable the free distribution of an otherwise copyrighted work.

Using Flickr,  Flickrcc or CC SearchGoogle Image Search to find at least two Creative Commons images you might use in your upcoming book trailer and add them, along with a credit link (in MLA format), to this blog posting. Also tell us why you chose these images and how they relate to the book you are reading (see my example below).

this is Michael when he was siting near the back in the book the teacher moved him to the front so he could be seen by everybody and every one knew him.

this is the scene when the teacher graded Michael's work and told the other teachers that he knows it and to give him a chance.

Topic 3 blogroll and commenting

How could blogging be used to enhance learning in your high school classes?: Its a way to communicate and help other students and they can get to know each other better by reading what they post and see if you have anything in common.

Tell us about two of the characters in the book that you are reading for your book trailer. What do they look like?  What kind of personality characteristics do they have?  Do they have any problems?  Would you be friends with them if they went to PHS?:Michael oher:   is the main character and he is a big teddy bear he is kind and likes everyone and he is 315 lbs and he is 6'4"  and he inst the smartest but he will do anything to protect the people that he loves.
Leigh Anne Tuohy:  is the caretaker of Michael she is very smart and really nice she might get in over her head a bit but it always work out for her she is 5'7" she is blond and was the first to notice Micheal and see if he needed help .

What about the setting of the book.  Where does it take place: in the country, the city, a high school? What is the time frame: in the present, the past, the future?  Describe one scene in the book so that we can get a feel for the setting and time.:  the book takes place in Memphis he went to briarcrest christian school it takes place in the early past there is a scene were he there is scenes were they talk about his school work assignment then they talk about when events took place.

Digital Citizenship: Topic 1.

  1. Comments on blogging guidelines, which will be most difficult to follow. The most difficult thing for me is to remember to capitalize things.
  2. Answers to the 2 questions on digital citizenship:
    • What is digital citizenship?  Responsible behavior with regard to technology use.
    • What are the rights and responsibilities of a digital citizen in today’s world?  to be careful what you post and to make sure its not going to harm you or anyone else.
      3. Thoughts about your own digital footprints
What I got out of it was to be careful what do and what you post on the internet because it might not go away and it might come back to haunt you.
